This was the perfect weekend. Not only was it GORGEOUS weather but it was my husband’s 26th birthday! TJ told me that he wanted to plan his own birthday weekend, so I left everything up to him! Friday we hopped in the car around 4:30pm. I had no idea where we were going. I like surprises but then again I don’t….so after the first hour of driving, I was really curious where we were going! We ended up at the Susquehanna Bank Center in Camden, NJ to see Florida Georgia Line!! It was such a nice surprise since TJ knew I really wanted to see them!!!
On Saturday, TJ’s actual birthday, we got up really early and headed out to Randall’s Island for the Urban Mudder, Tough Mudder’s very first cousin race (with NO mud!) It was an awesome day. My friend Roselle’s husband created the course so it was really fun getting to run it with her and support Johnny at the same time! We ran the race in birthday hats (thanks Rose) and got so many shout outs. They even sang Happy Birthday to TJ on the loud speakers! The race was definitely more challenging than I expected it to be. We really earned our headbands at the end of the 5k finish line!
To top off the weekend, we got up super early today (4:45am) to head out in the dark to the NJ Quickchek Balloon Festival. I have been going to this since I was a child and it is one of the things I LOVE to do. There is something so beautiful about getting to watch over 100 air balloons get blown up and let go! This year was different because we got to see it at sunrise. Usually we go to the sunset launch and spend the day at the festival. This was TJ’s first time and he really loved it. Overall this weekend was one of the best weekends yet! So much fun & so many memories created. TJ, I love you and hope your 26th was even better than the last!!
