I love Easter. The meaning behind the day is very special for my family and I. CHRIST HAS RISEN! We celebrate all that Jesus has done for us and His faithfulness. I also love this time of year because the weather is always so beautiful. I love the tulips (can’t help it- I am dutch) and all of the pretty pastels. For Landon’s first Easter we decided, since I was off from work, that we would host dinner this year. Some of our family had never seen our apartment, so we figured this was a good opportunity. We love to entertain and cook, so we volunteered to have everyone over to our place. We had a great time surrounded by our family and loved ones. Landon was very spoiled and received lots of goodies in his multiple Easter baskets. He even got a GIANT bunny rabbit of his own from Grandma & Grandpa Speer in Florida, whom we named Harvey. TJ and I chose to open our basket with L the Saturday before, so that we could enjoy the moment and not feel rushed. I love the pictures of him discovering what was inside of his first basket with his daddy at the park.
Overall, baby’s first Easter was perfect. The weather was great, the food was delicious, and the company was even better! Oh, and Landon even tried sweet potato for the first time- can’t say he hated it! 😉 Hope you all had a great Easter with your family. This was one to remember!
