Close5 App Review

Hello there! Today I am going to be talking about a new app called Close5.  Close5 is an app that lets you buy and sell items within your area. It is almost like eBay, but is much faster and more convenient. You can post any item that you want to sell, by uploading images directly through your phone, or you can browse through the many listings of second hand items available for purchase in your area.

At first, I was a bit skeptical. I have never been big into second hand buying, but I thought I would give it a try. The app was super easy to use. First, you need to download the app. Then you just type in the area where you live and local listings will pop up. It is great because there are some really great finds, listed for very cheap prices! I like that you have the option to haggle with the seller and bid on a lower price if you want. If you and the seller meet an agreement, the item is yours!

Not only is Close5 convenient, it is also safe. When you have agreed on a pick up time with the seller, you discuss a public place to meet up nearby. This can be at the local Starbucks, the mall, or ToysRus- which is where I met up with my seller.

I have been looking for a cute breakfast tray for sometime, but hadn’t found the perfect one yet. When I saw this Pier1 tray listed on Close 5, I put in a bid right away. The seller was asking for $12 and I put in a bid for $10. The original price for this “Napa Tray” was $45. The seller agreed on $10 and we arranged a time to meet up to exchange. You pay cash when you recieve your item, so it is a safe and easy process.

I also purchased a pair of Clark’s leopard shoes from the same seller as well. They were listed at $10 and I asked for $9. These shoes originally sold for $65, so I was happy with my $9 bargain! To my surprise, when I met up with the seller- she knocked off another $4 because there was some minor fading on the back of the shoe. That rang my total purchase in at $15.

Not only is Close5 convenient, but it is the perfect way to snag a great bargain! Score, who doesn’t like to save money? Make sure you head over to download their app at, so that you can start shopping to!

A shot of our beautiful new wooden tray on Valentine’s morning. Perfect for breakfast in bed!
