How was everyones 4th of July?! This year, I have to say was pretty awesome.
I volunteered to work on the the holiday because we get paid time and a half (sweet!) but overall, the days surrounding it were pretty fun! On Thursday, I stopped into our local Hyundai dealership and ended up walking out with a brand new car! Guess I couldn’t pass up the deal 😉 Talk about spontaneous. I got the 2016 Sante Fe Sport and I love it! It’s very big and spacious, perfect for a growing family (& my super tall husband, TJ). Check out some pics below, she’s a beaut…
Later that night we went over to our friend Tim’s house for his annual summer ‘Fourth of Juluau’ party. Â They had set up a giant slip and slide on the grass, which was pretty awesome! Â It was funny to watch everyone go down the slide. Apparently I did not get the memo to bring a bathing suit, or I would have tried it out myself!
At Tim’s 4th of July party every year he always gets a giant pig to roast. It’s a fun time getting together with friends and hanging out drinking and eating good food! (poor piggy) Sunday, I was off of work and woke up to a great breakfast cooked by my awesome husband. It was so sweet of him to make delicious belgium waffles for us! TJ always makes a great and fun breakfast every holiday, but I wasn’t expecting anything this time… so it was a nice surprise. Later that night we took mom out to celebrate her (belated) birthday. We took her took a super cute restaurant called The Barn, which is right on a lake and has a nice view. They had a band which was nice. We had some great food and enjoyed what was rest of the holiday weekend.
After dinner we came home to watch the girl’s USA soccer team play Japan in the FIFA World Cup. If you saw it, you would know that the game was AMAZING! We had so much fun and were screaming at the TV the entire time! USA scored 4 goals in the first 15 minutes, they kicked some Japanese butt! In the end USA WON and took home the WORLD CUP! It was the perfect ending to an awesome Fourth of July weekend! Hope yours was just as good. Forever RED, WHITE & BLUE!Â
