Today I am back-blogging about a fun event that we hosted in our home on November 9th. Since we had just moved into our new condo a few weeks before, we wanted to invite TJ’s family over to see the new place. We decided to host our first annual (hoping to continue this tradition) ‘Breakfast for dinner’ party.
We wanted an excuse to use our new griddle and waffle machine that we received from our bridal shower…so we got to cooking! TJ popped open a bottle of champagne and we all toasted with afternoon mimosas. For an appetizer I made hamcups, which I put into cupcakes tins and filled with shredded cheddar cheese and red & green peppers. I baked them in the oven until they were nice and crispy. They looked pretty and tasted yummy. Everyone enjoyed them.
For dinner we had options of taylor, ham egg and cheese, pancakes, waffles with fresh fruit, and a side of bacon. For dessert I made monkey bread, super easy and delicious.
It was really nice having the family over to see the new place and give Nan a break from her usual Sunday dinners. 😉 We hope to continue our new family tradition and host it again next year! Want to join?
